Those Pretty Wrongs were formed in 2012 after Jody Stephens asked Luther Russell (of the Freewheelers) to join him to perform Big Star songs for the screenings of Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me. In June 2015 Those Pretty Wrongs released a 7" on Burger Records featuring "Lucky Guy" and "Fool Of Myself". The tracks were recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN, home to all of Big Star's studio albums.
The first ever tribute concert for Big Star's founder Chris Bell! An all-star band, lead by Adam Hill of Ardent Studios, performs songs from Bell's acclaimed "I am the Cosmos" LP and Big Star's "#1 Record." Special guests include Van Duren, Richard Rosebrough, and more. Further details on the roster of "special-guest" musicians will be announced soon. The event will be on May 22nd at 9PM.
